Julie A Richman

Moore To LoseContinuing the fight for their happily ever after that began in Searching for Moore, Schooner Moore and Mia Silver struggle to overcome the ghosts and baggage they accumulated during their time apart.

Exploring the missing 24 years when they were separated, Moore to Lose follows Mia's journey from heartbroken teen to kickass businesswoman to her emotional reunion with Schooner and the exploration of the love that was ripped from them.

But is their love really strong enough to overcome the damage of those missing 24 years or will they continue to be ripped apart by pasts that can't be changed?

The Review

I must start by saying that this book is book two in the Needing Moore Series, this should not be read as a standalone. Start with book one in the series which is Searching For Moore. Here are the purchase links for the first book in the seires. Click here to purchase from the Amazon UK

Wow…where do I start! I began reading the first of the series before I started blogging and fell in love with the story it was so different from other books I had read before focussing more on a mature couple and going back in time for you to discover how they met. It was a lovely story with a lot of emotional turmoil.

On release of this book I had set up my blog and I couldn’t wait to get started and find out what happened, as there was a cliffhanger in book one. I won’t tell you too much more as I don’t want to give too much away about the story line. Moore to Lose even beat my own expectations and took me to places where a book has never taken me before. The Characters are built on history from the previous book and in this book you get to learn Mia’s story and I have to say it is a heart wrenching story of a young girl on a life changing journey. Mia has now become one of my favourite women characters, she is troubled but my god she is strong and considering the enormity of what this young girl went through she still had a cracking personality.

I really don’t want to go in to too much detail as I believe that you should all read this series! It is defiantly not one to miss. I do however have to give you a warning that this most certainly gives you an “ugly cry” moment. There is a moment in this book that hits you direct, you feel as if you are there with Mia at that time when she goes through something that is so tragic even the most cold hearted person would feel emotion for her. I have to say I sobbed for her and felt like I was there watching the whole story unfold in front of my very eyes. I can even feel this pulling at my heart strings now remembering the pain for poor Mia. To all my fans please be warned that this book has given me the worst book hangover in my history of reading and I want to know so much more!

Julie develops the characters beautifully throughout both of the books and has a wonderful way of adapting her characters personality. There are lots of spicy scenes in this book and also some scene where you are shouting at Mia to gain control and get a grip in those spicy scenes. The sexy scenes are written very well and have wonderful detail, they are gripping and unlike some books there are not too many. Mia’s so called “quickies” are written to perfection giving you enough detail to feel how raw it is but also making sure that you understand that there is no emotion in her sexual encounters.

Julie you have done a wonderful job in this series so far and I certainly do look forward to the final book of the series, however my expectations after book two are now so high I don’t know how any book is ever going to compete. I want to thank you for such an emotional journey about such a wonderful woman. However I also want to shout at you for giving me this awful book hangover, I’m sitting listening to certain songs and there reminding me of the book! This hangover is bad! I’m still sitting here feeling like there is so much more I need to tell you but at the same time due to such a bad book hangover am struggling to get my thoughts down, this may be a review I have to update as I get over the effects of this book.
